Blessings today from God!

Yep, today I looked up with a laugh and said a quick thanks to God.

It has been a busy couple of days- Tony is traveling for work, and out of town.  My fear as these trips approach always involves the unexpected:  sick kids, work deadlines and responsibilities, etc.  Well this afternoon, after being called to the school to pick up our 2 youngest children who were sick at school (yesterday I was home with our oldest with the flu as well!) I found myself juggling even more than I expected!

The security guy came to make sure our alarm system was connected appropriately, and in the process the alarm was going berserk, my boss called and we were having a VERY interesting conversation while all the alarms were going off, the security guy was very nice but still had a couple questions for me, and all 3 kids had at least one need (or one I had been made aware of but hadn't yet met and apparently deserved a 2nd or 3rd reminder!)

Then, when the phone call ended and the security system was finished---   our oldest let me know that he texted all his good friends using the school phone book.  I couldn't help but laugh just a little while explaining the way a text works, etc.  Wow- I think that's the first time in awhile that I outsmarted my 10 year old when it came to technology.

I said a quick thank you to God for giving me the blessings of 3 wonderful children, although temporarily not 100% healthy (and as I type this, our oldest just came barreling down the stairs because he can't seem to walk UP or DOWN without falling regularly!) but certainly their health is not in question as many parents pray for their children's health to return, I consider Tony and I to be extremely lucky.

  1. Welcome to blogger! I'm glad you decided to join!! I could have stayed longer, sounds like you might have needed and extra hand!!

Sometimes I like to think that God is looking down on us at crazy times like that, and he giggles. Or says things like, "Good job!" Wouldn't that be cool to know God thought we did a good job in stressful situations?
